Application of Steel Castings
Because of the characteristics of steel castings, almost all industrial departments need to use steel castings. They are widely used in ships and vehicles, construction machinery, construction machinery, power plant equipment, mining machinery and metallurgical equipment, aerospace equipment, oil wells and chemical equipment. 1. Power plant equipment
Power plant equipment is a high-tech product. Its main parts are running continuously for a long time under high load. Many parts of thermal power plant and nuclear power plant equipment also need to withstand the corrosion of high temperature and high pressure steam, so the reliability of parts and components is very strict. Casting steel can meet these requirements to the maximum extent and is widely used in power plant equipment.
2. Railway locomotives and vehicles
Railway transportation is closely related to people’s life and property safety, therefore. Safety is very important. Some key components of locomotive and vehicle, such as wheels, side frames, bolsters, couplers, etc., are traditional steel castings.
Railway turnout is a component that bears strong impact and friction. Its working condition is very bad and its shape is very complex.
3. Construction, construction machinery and other vehicles
The working conditions of construction machinery and construction machinery are very poor. Most parts bear high loads or need to endure impact wear. A large part of them are steel castings, such as driving wheels, load-bearing wheels, rocker arms and crawler plates in the action system.
Generally, steel castings are seldom used in automobiles, but the moving parts of special off-road vehicles and heavy trucks also use a lot of steel castings.
